The first medium that interested me in art was definitely comic books and animation. I enjoy detaching myself into different imaginary worlds that are created by others; however I am especially drawn into the boundless fantasy that comics build out of daily life. I believe that the strength of the extraordinary grows from the commonplace. It is the same with art; I attempt to sublimate daily life scenes and objects into something special and thought provoking. I often begin a piece by trying to discover something concealed in everyday life or just so obvious that people neglect it. I want to provide a novel perspective that shows an ordinary theme in a different way. From the new viewpoint the observer can discover new possibilities and imagination in the theme of the work.
